Christian Gatherings

       As the world progresses and ready to take its zenith in enticing and offering people things that are flesh-friendly, people are now being turned quickly from spirituality into carnality.

 

       Worldly things are strongly promoted by the god of this world to the intent that many people would be taken through the devil’s prime and total campaign for ungodliness and rebellion against the Almighty God.

 

       Spiritual warfare is about to take its finality. It is being intensified by the adversary because he knows that he has but a short time left. Satan’s workers are branded faithful to their master as they creep into homes, organizations, churches and other Christian ministries with subtlety and for a particular purpose, to rob and to destroy humankind.

 

       Considering all strange wickedness and more hardship we are about to face in the future, it seems that many Christians are liken to a bunch of lazybones in their comfort zone rather than elite, brave and watchful Christian soldiers in the front line guarding and fighting endlessly for the Truth. True Christians should not be found faithful in their comfort zone, but rather in the war zone.

 

       Hebrews 10:25 is undoubtedly a relevant passage from the Bible to stir up our awareness so we may know how to behave and live uprightly in the midst of this sinful world.

 

       As we seriously look for an excellent solution on how we could protect, preserve and maintain the sanctity of our faith, we must consider our Christian Gatherings, for it is through constant gatherings of true believers that would keep us on fire spiritually.                          

 

        (I) Not To Be Forsaken

            Hebrews 10:25

            -Must be supported consistently

            -Must be well-valued

            -Must be a part of every believer’s life

 

       It seemed that many believers in the earlier time of Christianity had neglected the needful gatherings and this spiritual problem ruled the lives of many unfaithful believers through the ages, and it is now a growing problem of every Local Church in our time.

 

       We are facing a tough battle in the future and it is a wise move for believers to unite ourselves in asking needful things from God through prayers during prayer meetings. It is also our responsibility to give our children the right education, which is Bible education.

 

       Forsaking Christian gatherings leads us to a dangerous and open place where we become an easy prey for the devil. It has been said that there is strength in unity. Gathering ourselves together for spiritual reasons will surely energize and strengthen our spiritual desire to live and serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.         

 

       (II) Gives Strength To Every Believer

            Hebrews 10:25

 

            -Our presence in every gathering we have is

             a contributed strength to other believers

 

           * as we worship God in spirit and in truth

           * as we partake the Lord’s Supper

           * as we pray together

           * as we give our tithes and offerings

           * as we study the Word

           * as we sing together and give praises unto God

           * as we fellowship with one another

           * as we witness for Christ

           * as we wait for Christ’s coming

 

       As we encourage and strengthen ourselves in the Lord, we also encourage and strengthen other believers in other places. 

 

       We really need strong and faithful Christians to defend the Truth. Every Christian who really loves the Lord Jesus Christ must stand up and march with other believers courageously to tread down the enemies of Truth.
