Mansions In Heaven

Many Mansions

Text: John 14:1-3 May 22, 2005

Preacher: Pastor Jose B. Cabajar

Seeing homeless and exposed people sleeping in parks, cemeteries, abandoned buildings and other public places reminds us of the people’s great need for houses today.      Shelter is a basic need of human kind and it is worthy to be given consideration so people may be protected from dangerous elements. Every family from all levels of society may have their own dreamed house, but who is really interested of the many mansions in heaven?

The Lord Jesus Christ is not only aware of man’s physical needs like corruptible houses made by men’s hands, but most of all, of the spiritual needs of human race.

In Matthew 6:33, it is written, But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (KJV) This important passage helps man to understand the value of priorities and warns him not to ignore his spiritual needs in life. Misplaced priorities threaten one’s spiritual survival.

Salvation is the principal need of mankind that should not be overlooked. In Hebrews 2:3, it is written, How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; (KJV)

A saved person can truly enjoy God’s countless blessings in many forms including the promised mansions in our Father’s house.

       (I) The Certainty Of the Mansions

John 14:1, 2

-Jesus spoke about it

In my Father’s house are many

mansions…

-Jesus never lies

…if it were not so, I would have told

you…

-Jesus is the Truth

…I am the way, the truth…

       (II) Assured Place For Believers

John 14:3 I Thessalonians 4:16-18

-Future place of the believers

…a place for you.

-A perfect place to live

…where I am, there ye may be

also.

-Prepared by the Lord Jesus

Christ

…I go to prepare…

Heaven is a prepared place for prepared people. In John 14:6, it is written, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV) Without Christ, it is impossible for a man to go to the Father.

Jesus came into the world to bless us with His great salvation. As we appreciate His loving-kindness, we must not forget also to share our blessings to others. The best way to share God’s blessings is by proclaiming the Gospel of Christ to the unsaved people.
